What to do in emergency?

100 et 112 :  emergency ambulance transport

In case of emergency or accident, you can call an ambulance or contact the police or firemen by dialling 100 or 112 from a regular telephone, a mobile phone, a phone booth or from phones located on the highway or in some tunnels. Both numbers are free. You do not need to have a phone card or money!

Please specify to the person who answers your call:

•    The nature of the facts;

•    The address and location of facts (commune, street, number, etc);

•    Remain calm and answer the questions.

105 : non-emergency ambulance transport

For a non-emergency ambulance, please dial 105. This is a Red Cross service that arranges transportation of disabled patients to get to a hospital or to consult a doctor; the patients return home or are transferred from a care facility to another. This service is not free of charges.

For more information, please visit the Red Cross website: www.croix-rouge.be
