    This private hospital has three different Paediatric Units: a classical Paediatric Unit, a special Unit for the hospitalization of both parent and child and a psychiatric one only for children from 3 to 12 years old.

    This institution is specialized in psychiatric care.

Parents Info

Parent and Child Room

If a parent would like to spend the night with his child, a bed is available for him in each room.

Bathroom

There is a bathroom in each room.

Meals for Parents

The restaurant is located at the 9th floor.

Opening hours : from 11:45 till 14:00

The cafeteria is located on the first floor.

Opening hours: from 9:30am till 7:30pm during the week and from 1pm till 7pm during the weekend.

There are many restaurants nearby the hospitals.

Shops and Facilities

In the main entrance, you will find a shop (basic hygienic items, flowers, cards, newspapers, etc.)

For washing child clothes, ask the Laundry Department. The cost will be charged on the final invoice.

Mail Delivery

The mail is automatically dealed in the Units if the room number is indicated. You can ask the nurses for sending your mail.

Stamps are available at the Admittance.

A hairdresser offers one's services in the rooms. Ask the nurse of the Unit.

The clinic is located in the centre of Brussels, near "Rue Neuve", City 2 (commercial centre), "Placve Rogier" and the "Jardin Botanique" (Botanic Garden).

Numerous car parks can be found at walking distance from the Clinic: City 2, Botanique, Rogier, passage 44, Inno Store.

Specifications of the Pediatric Department

The department has 3 distinctive Units :

Classic Paediatric Unit (general medicine and surgery). This Unit has 15 beds for newborns up to 15 year old children. There is a multidisciplinary team (doctors, nurses, psychologists, social worker, mentor…) working closely together for the personal and therapeutical wellbeing of the child. The team tries to involve the parents as much as possible.

"Parents-Child" Unit. This Unit deals with psychological disorders and dysfunctions of the relationship between the parents and children. During a period of intensive observation (1 week, repeatable three times, max 1 month), the team puts in place a rehabilitation program within the psychological, medical, social and legal framework.  

The "Domino" Unit specializes in psychiatry for children aged 3 to 12 who can be hospitalized for a maximum period of 2 months. The child is under observation within and outside his unusual environment. The aim is to detect any behavioural problems, understand the psychiatric difficulties and help the child to avoid a recurrence or worsening of the problem.  

There is no emergency service for the "Parent-Child" and "Domino" Unit.

Infrastructure

There is a playroom equipped with television, DVD's, videos, toys and books.

Entertainment

A full carer looks after the children in the playroom or at their bedside. Clowns alsco come to the Clinic to entertain the children. 

Visits

Paediatric Unit : from 2pm to 6pm

Psychiatric Unit : no visits. The children are allowed to exit Wednesday and Friday afternoons and should be back at the Clinic by 6 pm

Domino Unit : parents are welcome all day.

Maternity Unit: maximum 3 people at a time, Ward: from 3pm to 7.30pm, Private room: from 11am.

Neonatalogy : parents only and grandparents if accompanied by a parent

Bathroom

There is a shower unit in the bedroom.

Meals for Parents

The restaurant is located on the 9th floor.

Opening hours: from 1111.45am to 2pm

The cafetaria is located on the 1st floor.

Opening hours: from 9.30am to 7.30pm weekdays and from 1pm to 7pm weekends.

There are manyrestaurants near the Clinic.

In the main entrance hall, you will find a Press shop (basic hygienic items, flowers, cards, newspapers, etc)

For laundry, please call Mrs. Evelyn Vass on 20/221 90 59. the cost will be added to your final invoice. 

Mail

the mail is automatically delivered to the Units as long the room number is stated on the envelope. you can ask the nurse to send your mail. Stamps are avalaible at Reception. 

A hairdresser can come to your room. Ask the nurse for this service.

All bedrooms have a radio. private rooms have a television which is included in the invoice under "room supplements".

A mounge at the end of the hall also has a television.

Both available in the communal kitchen of the paediatric department.

Spiritual Support (Religious and Secular)

You can call a representative of on of a recognized religion or a lay councillor used to the hospital. You can also call a person of your choice. In that case, please give his address and phone number tot the nurse of the Unit. In your room, you can find a request form for moral, religious or philosophic assistance.

There is a permanent catholic chaplaincy on site which can be contacted through your Unit nurse, reception or internal phone.

There are 2 chapels in the clinic. A large one on Floor -1, open during celebrations, and a smaller one on the left hand side of Admission, open all day.

On Sundays and Bank Hollidays, volunteers will assist the patients to the Chapel.

In the Domino Unit, two teachers from teh Association "L'école à l'hôpital et à domicile" come every week.

Deposit and rates

The deposit is €500 for a private room  if you benefit from the Mutual Insurance. If not, the deposit is € 2000 payable every 4 days.

For a hospitalization of a child in a ward, the deposit is € 75 a week. If the parent is beneficiary of BIM (previously VIPO), the deposit is € 25 a week.

For payment of invoices,go to the cashier office, open Monday to Friday between 8am and 1pm, and 2pm and 4pm.
