The Neonatal Unit is located on the 9th and 10th floor of the hospital.

This Unit admits premature babies (born around 24 weeks of gestation and babies with acute diseases (digestive tract diseases, diaphragmatic hernias, urinary system diseases, etc.)
Children born with a cardiac disease are treated in the Intensive Care Unit.
The Neonatology Unit admits between 300 and 350 children a year. Among them, about 100 children were born at less than 32 weeks of gestation and 80 children were born weighing less than 1500 grams.

Doctors and nurses will keep parents informed about the child's progress and answer any question.
Other Visitors
Relatives and friends are welcome every day between 4:30pm and 5:30pm and from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. They must be accompanied by one parent (maximum 2 people at the same time).
On the Unit 96, Neonatalogy and Paediatric Intensive Care Units : wards only, no possibility for the parent to stay overnight.
On the Unit for Children under 2 years of age: possibility of a "parent and child room" (room for 2 children costing € 20,11 per day. This additional covers the bed and the breakfast (to be taken at the cafeteria).
Each room has a campbed, reclining chair and a shower. The other parent can stay at the gest house"Roseau"
On others paediatric Units for older children (over 2 years old), parent cannot stay overnight except in special circumstances. The possibility to have a private room will be discussed with the doctor and depends on the availability.
Each "parent and child" room has a shower and a toilet.
No meals will be served for parents in the room but several possibilities to eat within in the hospital grounds: snacks, restaurants, sandwich bar...
The guest house for parents "Le Roseau" has cooking facilities.

This guest house welcomes the relatives of the patients wishing to stay during the hospitalization or their child.
A receptionist and a night warden are on duty for urgent calls.
Cost : €18,50 per person and per day (bed and breakfast). Discount for the second member of the family. Down payment on arrival. Possibility to claim with certain Insurance Companies.

The Paediatric Department of the "Cliniques Saint-Luc" offers consultations with specialistsfrom all fields.

There are several paediatric Units according to the age of the child and/or its medical need. There is also a Neonatalogy Unit (N*) and a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit

A play room is available on each different Paediatric Unit. There is also a "snoezelen" room on the 8th floor for the children who whish to relax. This room is separated from the play room by a glass screen, has a water matras, a luminescent glass column with little fish, soft lights and the scent of aromatic oils. The handicapped or sick child can experience some rest in quiet surroundings.
The educational team proposes numerous activities to the child and their parents : playing, creating or simply meeting. The team will visit the children who are not able to leave their rooms. Other volunteers visit the Units: storytellers from the Hopi'Conte Association, clowns Payoyo and Trot'inette and musicians from the "Une Note pour Chacun" Association.
On Wednesdays and Saturdays between 2pm and 5pm, the "Arcadie" Association runs a creative workshop for the brothers and sisters of hospitalized children.

Parents are welcome any time with some restriction formedical reasons.
Family : children under 15 years are not allowed to visit patients (risks of contamination).
Visiting hours : from 1pm to 3pm and from 5pm to 7pm.
Any time from 11am depending on medical conditions.
An outgoing line is available in each room. Dial 66 then the personal code that you received on your arrival, then #.
There are public phones at different places in the hospital.
Be aware that phone calls are expansive and will be added to your bill. This charges are not refunded by the Mutual Insurance nor any other insurances.
For private rooms, or 2 bedded rooms, dial 02/764 0 followed by the digits of the patient's room. On ward, your number is indicated on your phone.
Each room has a television free of charge.
Children can find books on their Unit.
Several psychologists help families on the Paediatric Unit.

The school "L'Escale" allows to the hospitalized children to follow lessons adapted to everyone.
Activities are taking place in the units and in the day hospital, in the class room or at the bedside for children who may not move.
Teachers are present during the week for nursery, primary and secondary levels. The lessons are free of charge.
