At first, you shall contact the social service of the hospital that treats your child and/or the social service of your medical care insurance as these services can save you time and unnecessary applications.
The different medical treatments can be expensive despite the intervention of the medical care insurer (through the compulsory medical care insurance and, sometimes, the complementary medical care insurance) and some hospitalisation insurances.
The Public Centre for Social Action (PCSA) and the debt mediation service may also help you. Sometimes medical care insurances have a solidarity fund to their affiliates.
Be aware that certain laws can help you to meet the costs of treatment. Some benefits are directly granted when some conditions are met and other may require the application of a specific form.
