OMNIO

For whom?

The Omnio status is an extension of the increased intervention to the compulsory medical care insurance for medical expenses (doctor, dentist, physiotherapist, pharmacy, hospitalization). The personal share (sort of user fees) at your expense for these benefits is lower. This status does not replace the "BII" (Beneficiary of an Increased Intervention) but comes in parallel! For those who already benefit from the BII status, there is no need to apply for it within your health care insurer.

The Omnio is intended for workers, employees, entrepreneurs, unemployed, sick; all people whose situation in the household is financially difficult.

The criterion for the Omnio status of the application is the annual gross taxable income of the household.

The maximum annual income limit must be less than € 15,606.71, increased by € 2,889.22 per household member other than the applicant (amount for 2012). The period taken into account for the income is the calendar year preceding the application, that is to say, 2010, if you make the request in 2012.

The concept of "household" refers to one or more persons who are domiciled at the same address (that is to say, as stated in the National Register of persons) even if they have no family relationship on January 1st of the year of application (that is to say January 1st, 2012). The Omnio status relates to people who have a low income and are, for example, head of isolated families.

How to apply for it?

A form called "Declaration of Honour" is available in your medical care insurance. A household member makes a request for the entire household. The applicant must submit the "Declaration of Honour", together with the current law and other proof of income of all household members (payrolls, pay slip 281.10) to his medical care insurer.
