Unaccompanied Foreign Minors – UFM

Définition

UFM are minors who arrive in Belgium without being accompanied by their parents or the person to whom they were entrusted by the applicable law in the country of origin. The UFM is a new category of holders introduced on January 1st, 2008, who are entitled to health care under the compulsory medical care insurance.

UFM children are entitled to medical care benefits as dependents.
