Full employment contract suspension or reduction of working hours in the context of the crédit-temps – employment contract break
It is the collective labour agreement n°77 bis that governs the system of crédit-temps (employment contract break). Its purpose is to allow a better balance between work and family. The decision to "take a break" belongs to the worker and can be taken, in particular, for family reasons (such as providing care to a family member). An employment contract break, the reduction of working hours to a part-time work is a right for all workers in the private sector. In companies employing 10 workers or less, this right is subject to the approval of the employer.
