Schooling in hospitals

Schooling in hospitals is done through hospital schools which are officially organized by the French Community (education of type 5). Hospitals admitting few children may not organise this type of schooling. In this case, non-profit-making organisations take care of it. No schooling work can be undertaken unless the responsible physician gives his agreement. Moreover, the pace, time-table, and the contents to be taught will be adapted according to the specific requests, needs and abilities of each young patient.
